I copied the following from another Website: "Looking up above the shops on the corner of High Petergate and Minster Gates is a sculpture with writing underneath that reads: 'The figure above is that of Minerva, Goddess of wisdom and of drama. John Wolstenholme 1801.' Hence the books and owl."
