Þingvelir

After lunch and the boys were napping, Nancy and I caught our tour of the Golden Circle.  I said to Nancy while we were in the Harpa waiting for the tour, "Wouldn't it be funny if Jon was our driver again today."  Sure enough, it was Jon.  We were pleased, because he was informative and entertaining in an unforced manner.  Our first stop was at the Þingvelir.  It is where the two tectonic plates that are pushing the Americas and Europe apart meat.  It is also the location where the ancient Viking parliament came together each year.  It's a place the Icelanders are very proud of.
