Church
On our way to the next stop we drove through the campus of the University of Iceland, where Meisha's conference was taking place. As we approached the university, we passed the residence of former Iceland president Vigdís Finnbogadóttir, the world's first elected (1980) female president. Pay change she happened to be on her porch, talking on the telephone. Jon recounted the time he sat in church and didn't realize he was sitting next to her until the end of the service. The next important person we encountered while passing through campus was Meisha. Again by chance she happened to be walking back to the apartment. Our next stop was the president's home and the church in front of it. This church was dedicated to the Mother Mary and St. Nicholas when it was built centuries ago.
