I haven't said much about the prices here in Iceland. Because everyone is paid a living wage and there is a 15% valued added tax, plus no tipping, prices are quite high. Nancy's soup and rolls and my fish and chips came to 1,290 ($11.27) krona each. I picked up a medium sized bag of potato chips--forgetting that I already had chips (French fries)--which cost 790 krona ($6.90). I should have looked at the price.
