Getting There
We left Owego at 9:30am on Tuesday, May 17, 2011. Art Cacciola was our gracious chauffeur. After spending an hour approaching and crossing the George Washington Bridge and another hour inching our way toward the JFK airport, we arrived at the airport at 4:00pm. Checking in went smoothly but it wasn't until we were all fastened in our seats that the pilot announced that we would be taking off an hour late. The collective groan was all too audible. He "appeased" us by telling us that the plane would at least be moved away from the tarmac. Big whoop! But some how we arrived at Heathrow on time. From the airport we took the Underground to Kings Cross Train Station, where we caught the train to York, arrive at about 11:30am. After finding a bank to get British currency, we called Mark who met us to let us into our cozy "holiday" apartment in Peter Warehouse, Peter Lane, York. Mark also took us on a brief tour to help us find a few essentials.

Glad you guys made it ok. What a long trip! I hope the jet lag isn't too bad.
